2. Overview

This website is generally a free static Study Hub for learners. It does not use tracking cookies or analytics tools such as Google Analytics. There is no profiling for advertising purposes. There is no registration, login, newsletter signup, or server-side processing of learning content. Search and Study chat do not use generative AI models or cloud-based large language models (see section 7).

3. Legal basis

Where the controller processes personal data, this is usually based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a secure, functional information service). Storing and reading information on the end device for Study Hub features you request also relies on § 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG where applicable (see section 5). When you click external links, the third-party provider privacy policy applies.

4. Visiting the website (hosting and server logs)

The site is served as a static Study Hub via Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., USA), under the domain nabidinmotion.com. On each visit, the hosting provider processes technical data including: IP address, the name of the internet service, resource, and action requested, date and time of the request, data volume transferred, whether the request succeeded or an error occurred, browser/system information, and connection, routing, and network data. This is required to deliver the site, provide its intended functions, maintain security, and analyze errors. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, efficient, and reliable delivery of this offering and protection against attacks and abuse). Log data is deleted once storage is no longer necessary for the purpose pursued, typically days to weeks.

Cloudflare processes this data as a processor on behalf of the controller named in section 1. Cloudflare operates globally and states that personal data may be processed and accessed worldwide in the course of its global operations. To safeguard transfers from the European Economic Area to the USA, Cloudflare states it relies on its own certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF). Where that certification does not apply or should lose validity, Cloudflare states it uses the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission, together with supplementary safeguards where applicable. 5. Local processing on your device

The processing described in this section takes place only on your device. The data is not transmitted to the Study Hub servers or to Cloudflare as hosting processor. The controller named in section 1 therefore has no access to this local data and does not process it.

5.1 Learning and usage data. When you use the Study Hub, your browser stores learning and preference data in localStorage and briefly in sessionStorage on your device only. In localStorage this includes, for example: lessons marked as read, bookmarks, confidence ratings, focus time, weekly goals, optional Finish-by daily study minutes (same progress object), a local activity/streak view (heatmap derived from your read marks), optional in-lesson recall self-checks, answers and open misses from chapter practice packs, Daily Mix, and local skill assessments or exam runs, derived on-device views such as the Skill map on the home page (practice status from data already stored locally), optional lesson notes and heading notes you choose to write, acceptance of the Nutzungsbedingungen, the selected career-track filter, reader display preferences, tour status, study-window cue, backup-reminder stamp, and optionally a local cryptographic keypair for learning-proof files. The Skill map only computes displays in your browser from practice data already stored locally. It does not create new server uploads or new localStorage keys for the Skill map alone. sessionStorage may hold short-lived session aids such as an active focus timer, tour handoff, lesson scroll position, practice-next, a Finish-by pace (Horizon) preset, or (when Progress protect is unlocked) a short-lived tab unlock aid so unlock survives reload in the same tab. You can download progress as JSON and optionally as a Markdown learning-proof file on your device.

Architecture sim and Debug case. Optional reader practice overlays (Architecture sim on System Design guides and Debug case in selected modules) grade only after you explicitly submit. Results write into the same on-device practice-pack fields (answers and open misses) named above. They do not create new server uploads or new localStorage keys for those overlays alone. The models are simplified learning playgrounds. They are not production or network simulators and not professional advice. Overlay inputs are not received on the controller’s servers.

5.2 Path Photocard. On Play, you may build and download a practice Path Photocard image (PNG) in your browser. Optional name and photo stay in memory for that download only. They are not saved in localStorage and are not sent to the controller. The image is a local practice share aid. It is not a certificate and does not guarantee a job, salary, visa, or hiring outcome.

5.3 Study Photocard. On Continue (when unlocked) or under On this device / Progress tools, you may build and download a Study Photocard image (PNG) in your browser from on-device reading progress. Optional name and photo stay in memory for that download only. They are not saved in localStorage and are not sent to the controller. The image is a local Learning Milestone Snapshot. It is not a certificate and does not guarantee a job, salary, visa, or hiring outcome.

Big-O Bouncer (Play). Snack prefs for Big-O Bouncer stay in localStorage on this device only. That includes streak, unlocked waves, path milestones, and an on-device miss queue for doors. Name and photo for a Path Photocard are separate and stay in memory for that download only, as described above. This snack data is not received on the controller’s servers.

Lesson resume. Saved scroll position per lesson (resume where you left off) is kept in sessionStorage and mirrored in your local progress under lessonScroll for resume across sessions or after import on another device (scroll position, optional section id, and timestamp; capped at 40 lessons). It is included in progress export and import. It is cleared when you mark the lesson as read. A short-lived session flag may record that you dismissed the resume banner for that lesson today. This data is not received on the controller’s servers.

The optional cryptographic keypair is generated exclusively locally via your browser’s Web Crypto API and never leaves your device. It is used only to sign learning-proof files on this device. It is not cloud login and not tracking.

Notes are voluntary. Do not enter sensitive personal data (for example health data, passwords, bank card numbers, or third-party personal data) unless you accept that they remain on your device. The controller does not read, host, or back up this data on the controller’s servers. No registration is required.

5.4 Optional passphrase protection. You may turn on client-side encryption for progress on this device (Protect progress / Fortschritt schützen). Encryption uses your browser’s Web Crypto APIs only. Your passphrase and decrypted progress are not sent to the controller. If you forget the passphrase, the controller cannot recover the protected data. While a tab is unlocked, progress is readable in that browser session like ordinary local data. While unlocked, a short-lived unlock aid may sit in sessionStorage for this tab only (cleared when you Lock, turn protection off, or close the tab). It is not sent to the controller. This is not a secure vault for secrets and does not replace operating-system disk encryption.

You can export, import, or reset all progress from the Study Hub (including Backup and Progress tools on the home page). Individual notes can be cleared in the reader. Import reads a file you choose locally and never uploads it to the controller. PDF export of a note uses your browser’s print dialog (Save as PDF) and does not send the note to the controller. Storing and reading information on the end device, where strictly necessary to provide the Study Hub service you request, relies on § 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG. Where the controller processes personal data, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a functional learning experience).

5.5 Snapshot QR and Transfer (encrypted). As additional, optional ways to move your progress to another device, the Study Hub offers a QR-code snapshot (a compact summary of progress, streak, and practice status) and an encrypted transfer (a .nim-progress file). Both are generated entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted to the Study Hub servers. The QR code is only displayed on your screen. The transfer file is downloaded locally.

5.6 Calendar file (Finish-by). You may optionally build and download a calendar file (.ics) on this device. The file is created in your browser from your current Finish-by estimate on this device. It includes estimated study times, module hints, and links to the Study Hub. The file is not sent to the controller. After you import it, calendar apps (for example Google or Apple) may store or sync the data under their own terms. The calendar file is not a progress Backup. Backup and import of learning progress remain separate features. Dates and times in the file are estimates only. There is no success or schedule guarantee.

Your responsibility for local data. Because this data stays only on your device, you are responsible for backup, export, and protection against loss. Use the Study Hub export function if you want to keep progress or notes. The controller does not perform server-side backups and cannot restore lost local data.

No guarantee against data loss. Data may be lost when you clear browser data, change devices, update software, encounter technical errors, or stop using the site. The controller accepts no liability for loss of local learning progress or notes, except where mandatory law applies. Intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body, or health remain unaffected.

6. Service availability and discontinuation

The Study Hub is provided free of charge. Curriculum source material (markdown lessons) is publicly available under the MIT license in a separate repository. The Study Hub source code and presentation for nabidinmotion.com live in a private repository and are not publicly released as open source. This website, its code, its design, and its presentation are not a freely reusable open-source offering. They are a separate offering by the provider.

The controller may discontinue, change, or replace the Study Hub or this website at any time, in whole or in part. You have no right to permanent availability, specific features, or archived content. If the service ends, data stored locally on your device may remain there or may be deleted by you. The controller is not obliged to continue content, exports, or support after discontinuation.

The controller gives no guarantee of availability, retention, or recovery of locally stored data. Use is at your own risk. Further liability rules are set out in the Impressum and the German Nutzungsbedingungen (English translation: Terms of Use).

7. Local search and Study chat

The Study Hub includes sidebar lesson search and an optional Study chat on the Learn page. Both run entirely in your browser. Search terms, questions, and other text you enter are not sent to the controller as chat logs and are not stored in localStorage. No generative AI models are used. In particular, there is no model training on your inputs and no external web search or third-party data lookup. There is no third-party AI processor for Study chat and no cloud embedding or LLM service. Matching may use local keyword search and on-device algorithmic similarity between your query and lesson text already published on this site. Only content already on this website is evaluated. When enough matching material exists, Study chat shows text excerpts from published lessons with a source link. When nothing reliable matches, the chat states that no suitable information was found. Answers are not invented or completed by a generative model.

Do not enter sensitive personal data in search or chat questions (for example health data, exam credentials, passwords, or third-party personal data) unless you accept that it remains in your browser tab until you discard the thread. The controller does not receive that text as a chat log.

The chat thread exists only for the current page session (shown in the open tab. Not stored in localStorage). Clear the thread, collapse the panel, leave the page, or close the tab to discard it. To show results, your browser loads static files from the same website (for example search-index.json and lesson JSON). Standard hosting server logs described in section 4 may apply to those file requests (not your question text as a separate search log). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in helping you navigate the curriculum).

8. No tracking cookies

This site does not set HTTP cookies and does not set marketing or analytics cookies. Fingerprinting and profiling are not used. Device storage for learning features (localStorage / sessionStorage) is described in section 5 and is not an HTTP cookie. A cookie consent banner is therefore not required while no tracking cookies are introduced.

9. Fonts

Fonts are self hosted on this website’s domain. No connection to Google Fonts is made when pages load.

10. Monetization

The Study Hub remains free and does not show ad banners or tracking ads on this website. Optional voluntary support may be offered via Buy Me a Coffee, PayPal Tip Jar, and affiliate links (for example Amazon Influencer Shop and Related book recommendations in the reader). The controller named in section 1 earns a commission as an Amazon Associate on qualifying purchases. Where affiliate links are used, this Study Hub is not the seller of those third-party products. Purchase contracts are concluded with the third party. A commission may apply at no extra cost to you. The Amazon link itself is a plain, static link; loading this page does not load or set any Amazon script, tracking pixel, or cookie (technically prevented by this site's Content Security Policy). Only when you actively click the link do you leave this website, and the third-party provider’s privacy policy applies from that point; they may set cookies.

Additional revenue from online content may come from third-party platforms, notably YouTube (AdSense) and Facebook. For data processing related to ads, accounts, or analytics on YouTube or Facebook, only Google’s and Meta’s privacy policies apply. If you use those services, review their cookie and profiling practices there.

11. External links

This website contains links to Amazon (the controller named in section 1 earns a commission as an Amazon Associate on qualifying purchases), GitHub, YouTube (Google), Facebook (Meta), Buy Me a Coffee, and PayPal. These services are only called when you click the relevant link. YouTube or Facebook players are not embedded, and preview images are not loaded from their servers. Merely visiting this Study Hub website does not transmit personal data to those platform operators. Processing by a platform operator starts only when you actively click a link. Their own privacy policies then apply. Transfers outside the EEA by that operator cannot be ruled out. Linked destinations may change. The controller does not continuously monitor external pages.

12. Your rights

Where the controller processes your personal data, you may exercise the rights below. Contact the controller named in section 1 (contact@nabidinmotion.com).

You also have the right under Art. 77 GDPR to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, in particular with the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin. Entrance Alt-Moabit 60) or another competent supervisory authority. The trade is registered in Berlin. The Kaiserslautern address in section 1 is a c/o mailbox address and does not change that.

Because progress and notes stay on your device, you can usually delete them yourself at any time. Clear a note, use Reset progress, or clear site data in your browser settings without contacting the controller.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy is updated when the website or the law changes. The current version is always published on this page.

14. Curriculum content and updates

The Study Hub provides educational content synced from a GitHub repository. Content may change at any time. These changes usually do not involve personal data on the controller’s servers because the controller does not operate user accounts. Liability and change notices are set out in the German Nutzungsbedingungen (English translation: Terms of Use).
